Officers said they were called to the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. following a report of a fire that had broken out and been extinguished inside the store’s men’s restroom.

Police said the fire had been extinguished before officers arrived at the scene, but when they arrived they found the toilets and surrounding area had been damaged by the fire.

Officers then reviewed security footage and spotted Davis allegedly entering the bathroom just before the fire was reported.

Authorities caught up with Davis a few hours later and she was taken into custody around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Davis appeared in Lake County Court Thursday morning.
