One dead in traffic accident near Sallisaw

SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Oklahoma – One person was killed in an accident in Sequoyah County.

According to a fatality report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the accident occurred on July 9 at around 2:21 p.m.

According to the report, the accident occurred near E 1070 Rd and S 4670 Rd, about three miles east of Sallisaw.

According to the report, Janet Needham, 66, of Muldrow was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to OHP, the incidents, including the cause of the accident and the condition of the drivers, are still under investigation.

However, the report indicates that two men in another vehicle involved in the accident were not injured.
