Man shot dead in Glenwood by 15-year-old after being lured via social media

GLENWOOD, Ill. — A Chicago man was shot and killed in Glenwood on Friday after being lured to the area by a teenager, police said.

After 3 p.m., officers responded to a report of a car crash and shooting in the 400 block of Longwood Drive.

After the investigation, the police assume that 46-year-old Przemek Bogdanowicz from Chicago was lured to the area under false pretenses.

According to police, a 15-year-old boy told Bogdanowicz that he was an adult and that they had communicated via messaging applications before the incident.

The teenager got into Bogdanowicz’s vehicle at the meeting point and was shot by the teenager “within moments,” according to police.

The 15-year-old was taken into custody on Monday and charged with premeditated murder.
