Who are the Savannah Bananas?

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo wasted no time welcoming the Savannah Bananas, and the team itself wasted no time endearing itself to fans at Sahlen Field.

Playing the first of three games this weekend, the Bananas had something special planned for the fans.

After a fourth-inning Eric Jones home run gave the Bananas a 2-0 lead, the team quickly brought out a ladder and a table. Buffalo sports fans knew exactly what was coming next.

Jones went through the table and the sold-out crowd at Sahlen Field went wild. Lindsey Moppert of 2 On Your Side made sure not to miss the moment and posted the video to social media.

“We just completed nine full innings in one hour and 29 minutes – the fastest game in Banana Ball history,” the Bananas said on social media after the game.
