Punjab Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar attacked with swords by Nihangs in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Punjab Leader of the Shiv Sena Sandeep Thapar, who is also a descendant of the martyr Sukhdev Thapar, was attacked with Swords by a group of Nihang in front of the Ludhiana Civil Hospital on Friday afternoon.
It is also important that Thapar received police protection and the attack took place in front of his shooter.
Shiv Sena Punjab president Rajiv Tandon said, “Sandeep Thapar had gone to the Civil Hospital to attend a memorial function of BJP leader Ravinder Arora.
As he was leaving the hospital with his gunman, he was intercepted by a group of Nihangs. The accused attacked Sandeep Thapar with swords in front of his gunman, who, however, did not take any action to save him.”
While the accused fled the scene, the injured man was taken to the CMC Hospital, from where the doctors referred him to the DMC Hospital.
After the attack, Shiv Sena leaders protested against the police administration at the Civil Hospital and later at the DMC Hospital.
