A rideshare driver exposed his genitals and sexually assaulted a passenger this week, Toronto police allege.

Toronto police said one arrest has been made in the case, but officers believe there could be more victims.

Police said officers responded to a call of a sexual assault in the area of ​​Jane Street and Trethewey Drive around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A woman in her 20s requested a ride through a ride-sharing app and was picked up by the suspect, police said.

The suspect then allegedly exposed himself to the woman and “continued to sexually abuse the victim.”

She then got out of the vehicle and called police, officials said.

Rajwinder Bhangu, 27, of Brampton turned himself in Wednesday and was charged with lewd act and sexual assault, police said.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

The police did not say which app the woman was using.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the police or criminal investigation department.
