Man dies after bush pig accident in Greenbrier

GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An unfortunate bush hog accident claimed the life of a 74-year-old Robertson County man after he fell off his tractor and was run over.

The accident occurred on New Cut Road just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. MAP After the accident, the man was able to call his wife, who then called 911. The incident occurred when the man fell off his bush pig, which then ran over him, severing his leg.

According to Fire Chief Joe Williams of the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department, the man was knocked off the tractor by something, possibly a tree branch. Unfortunately, despite the quick response of Robertson County EMS, who took him to TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center, he did not survive.

The man reportedly knew the field very well and had mowed it many times over the years, making this accident a tragic event. The high temperatures of 35°C did not contribute to this, but they probably did not help the situation.

The White House Community Volunteer Fire Department, Robertson County EMS and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene.

A message from the family.

“Monty (Stewart) fell off his bush pig (not sure how) and his leg was blown off, he bled to death and died. He was able to call Pam to call 911. We are all in COMPLETE shock. Please pray for his entire family Pam, Montana, Darby and the grandchildren.” Kimberly Hollingsworth
