Florida driver arrested for exposing his genitals in DUI incident | NewsRadio WFLA

Leesburg, FL – A 56-year-old Florida man was arrested Sunday for exposing his genitals to a motorist during a DUI incident.

According to Leesburg police, officers responded to a call about road rage and public nuisance at around 3:09 p.m. Sunday.

The victim stated that while traveling north on US 27, he reduced his speed due to heavy rain.

A silver Kia Optima then drove around the driver at high speed and cut him off.

The victim stated that the driver of the Kia, identified as James Box, began driving aggressively and attempted to prevent her from passing by stopping abruptly.

Box is said to have continued to accelerate, throw objects at the victim’s vehicle and yell at him.

The arrest affidavit states the victim stopped near Plantation Boulevard and US 27 to take down Box’s license plate and vehicle information.

At this point, Box stopped, got out of his vehicle, charged toward the victim’s car, pulled his shorts down to his knees, grabbed his genitals with both hands, and began shaking them toward the victims.

The victims screamed and looked away in fear.

The incident occurred during rush hour on a busy highway with several vehicles passing by.

The victims were able to provide officers with photos of Box’s license plate and images of him charging toward their vehicle.

When officers arrived at the home where the Kia was registered, they found Box wearing the same clothing described and shown in the victims’ photos.

Box denied involvement in the incident and claimed officers were mistaken.

Based on the victims’ statements and the evidence presented, Box was arrested and charged with exposure of genitals.
