Police investigate shooting on Highland Avenue

BINGHAMTON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – Binghamton Police are investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend.

On June 15, officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of ​​Highland Avenue and Schiller Street in the city of Binghamton.

Officers interviewed several callers and residents in the area before finding 12 .40 caliber shell casings on the road near the intersection. According to the police department, it does not appear that anyone was struck by gunfire. No suspects are known at this time.
