Fallen power line closes Knoxville at Pioneer in Peoria

PEORIA (25News Now) – Peoria city officials said N. Knoxville Avenue is closed in both directions between W. Pioneer Parkway and Bethany Way.

According to Peoria police, an oversized truck struck a power line at the intersection of Knoxville and W. Northgate Road at around 9:23 a.m. Thursday. The accident knocked out power at the intersection.

Ameren has been notified and is currently working to restore power. No injuries were reported.

Drivers must find an alternative route.
