Man found dead in the parking lot of INOVA Hospital in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia – A man was found dead in an Alexandria parking lot early Wednesday morning, prompting a death investigation.

Alexandria Police officers responded to INOVA Hospital on Seminary Road after a person was reported dead in the parking lot, according to a 4:16 a.m. social media post. It was later determined that a man had been shot and suffered serious injuries that led to his death.

His identity has not been released, including his name, age and place of origin. It has also not been disclosed at this stage of the investigation where the man may have been shot.

Police are trying to determine what happened that led to the man being found dead in the hospital parking lot.
