Motorcyclist dies in crash in Franklin, MA – NBC Boston

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident over the weekend in Franklin, Massachusetts, police said Monday.

Police responded to East Central Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday following an accident involving a motorcycle and a sedan.

The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old Franklin resident whose name was not released, was taken to Milford Hospital and pronounced dead.

The driver of the sedan was taken to the same hospital but did not suffer serious injuries and was released, police said.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, but police do not expect any charges to be filed.

“Our thoughts are with the victim, his friends and family following this tragic incident,” Franklin police wrote in a Facebook post.
