Person suffers life-changing injuries after incident in busy London tube station

One person was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries following an incident at a London underground station.

Shortly before 11:15am today (6 June), a casualty was reported on the tracks at Gloucester Road tube station.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene and one injured person was found.

They were admitted to hospital for treatment, where it was determined that their condition was life-changing.

The incident resulted in the complete closure of the Circle Line and significant delays on the District Line.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to Gloucester Road tube station at around 11.13am today (6 June) following a report of a casualty on the tracks.”

Paramedics were also on site and one person was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.”
