Jesuit priest and former BC High School teacher charged with child rape – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (WHDH) – A Jesuit priest and former Boston College High School teacher has been charged with child rape.

Kevin White, 62, of Weston, will go on trial June 27 on charges of rape and child abuse, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced Wednesday.

White was a theology teacher there; he is accused of raping a student at the school between 2008 and 2009.

“All teachers and all religious officials are persons of authority and have a professional and moral obligation to always exercise that authority properly and appropriately,” Hayden said in a statement. “Our office will provide ongoing support to this former student as this case progresses.”

Prosecutors said more information would be provided after White’s indictment.
