Man shot on Indy’s north side; 16-year-old suspect arrested

INDIANAPOLIS – One person was shot and killed in north Indianapolis on Tuesday.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to W. 79th Street and Harcourt Road for a report of a person shot.

Police said officers arrived at the scene within a minute of the call. When they arrived, they found an adult male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene of the accident, police said.

Investigators arrested a 16-year-old male for his alleged role in the incident. He was arrested for murder.
