Man found shot on Sam Houston Parkway near I-45, officials say

HOUSTON (KIAH) — What appeared to be a normal accident turned out to be the scene of a murder Monday night on the North Sam Houston Parkway near I-45.

Officers from the Harris County 4th District Sheriff’s Office said they found a car crashed into a wall on the access ramp. When they arrived, they saw a man who appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.

They have not identified him or released any information about a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

The ramp was closed for the investigation but was reopened overnight.
