Roseburg man arrested after alleged drunk driving and resisting arrest incident – ​​KQEN News Radio

A Roseburg man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office states that at 7:20 p.m., a deputy stopped an SUV in the 200 block of Northeast Stephens Street in Roseburg after observing several violations indicating impairment. Jim Lee Wilson, 62, was reportedly uncooperative and visibly intoxicated. He was forcibly dragged from his vehicle and allegedly continued to resist arrest throughout the incident and detention.

A search warrant for his blood was issued and later executed at CHI Mercy Medical Center. Wilson was charged with resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was jailed without bail.
