Biden should kill his dog, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem suggests

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who continues to defend the killing of her 14-month-old dog Cricket, also suggested in an interview with CBS’s Face the Nation that Biden should use a similar tactic when dealing with his dog Commander.

Noem said Biden should be “held accountable” for the actions of his dog, which has bitten people at least 24 times.

Noem was met with widespread disgust as she recounted how she killed her wire-haired dog named Cricket after he displayed aggressive behavior and killed her neighbor’s chickens. The episode, meant to highlight her toughness and ability to handle the “difficult, messy and ugly” tasks as well as her honesty, backfired and nearly ended her chance of becoming presidential candidate Donald Trump’s running mate choice.

Host Margaret Brennan asks Noem about a passage in her book about her willingness to kill Biden’s dog, too.

“At the end of the book you say that the very first thing you would do if you got into the White House that would be different than Joe Biden would be to make sure that Joe Biden’s dog was nowhere on the grounds. “Commander, greet Cricket,” Brennan read.

The advice comes from Noem’s upcoming book, obtained by the Guardian. In it, Noem describes how she drags her “hated” dog into a gravel pit and shoots it. This event seemingly motivates Noem to drag a “bad and mean” family goat into the gravel pit to shoot it with two shotgun blasts, returning to her truck between shots to retrieve ammunition.

Commander, says Noem, “attacked 24 intelligence people.” So how many people have to be attacked and dangerously injured before deciding on a dog and what to do with it? That is the issue for which the president should be held accountable.”

“Are you saying (Commander) should be shot?” Brennan asks.

“The president should be responsible for that,” Noem responds.

Noem’s forthcoming book, “No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward,” also describes instances in which she defied international leaders – anecdotes that would have bolstered her foreign policy experience – but these quickly became apparent questioned. She writes about the cancellation of a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

After The Dakota Scout first reported Noem’s descriptions of the meetings, its spokesman Ian Fury said the book “has two minor errors.” This was communicated to the ghostwriter and editor.”

In addition to meeting Kim, Fury said Noem also mixed up the dates she spoke with former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.

“The book has not yet been published and all future editions will be corrected,” Fury added.
