Husband and wife arrested after reporting sexual assault

The tables were turned

A married couple had the tables turned after they demanded that officers arrest someone they claimed was guilty of assault.

Just after 9 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an assault call in the 13000 block of Marina Pointe Drive in Marina del Rey. The woman who reported the incident claimed she was sexually assaulted by a person who was being held by her husband during the call.

When investigating the incident, officers determined that the person detained had not committed any sexual assault.

However, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, the wife was arrested for assault while the husband was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

At the time of writing this article, no further information was available. No injuries were reported in the incident.
