Coronation Street’s Bobby Crawford is set to be arrested after lying about Lauren Bolton’s murder.

Viewers will know that Bobby recently deceived the police when he tried to break Roy out of prison – although this will come back to haunt him in new scenes.

The plot begins when Carla ends a conversation with DS Swain after being asked why she fell out with Roy.

Swain then visits Roy in prison and asks him bluntly whether his argument with Carla is related to Bobby’s suspicious statement.

Bobby is later arrested by Swain on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, while Swain tells Carla that Bobby’s deception is not helping him or Roy.

Dee-Dee later realizes that Roy’s defense is no longer working after Carla tells her about Bobby’s arrest, hoping that his testimony would be enough to exonerate Roy.

Next week’s episodes will focus on Lauren’s story as fans finally get answers to the three-month mystery.

The scenes will see Bethany continue her mission to prove that the evil Nathan Curtis is behind Lauren’s murder, and as Sarah struggles to see her daughter on the brink of collapse, she tries to plant evidence in Nathan’s van to get rid of him.

However, Sarah is caught by new detective Kit Green, who urges her not to play games – but things take a new turn when the police make a discovery that could set Nathan on edge.

“Just when it looks like Swain and Kit are solving the case, audiences are hit out of the blue with a new piece of evidence that reveals who Lauren’s killer really is!” reads a statement about the show.

“Have the police caught their man in Nathan, or is there still a predator on the run?”
