An investigation into a fatal motorcycle accident is underway in Stamford

Stamford, CT – The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is investigating a fatal car versus motorcycle accident that occurred on Lockwood Ave. on a recent evening. occurred at the intersection of William St. The incident involved a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle operated by a 17-year-old Stamford resident and a 2011 Toyota Corolla operated by a 58-year-old Stamford resident.

At the intersection, the Toyota attempted to turn left and crossed the motorcycle’s path, resulting in a collision despite the motorcycle’s attempt to stop. The motorcyclist was taken to Stamford Hospital after the accident, where he later died from his injuries. Because of the driver’s age, authorities declined to reveal his identity.

Following the tragedy, the driver of the Toyota remained on scene and assisted with the investigation. The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad has continued to investigate and encourages anyone with additional information to call (203) 977-4712.
