MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) – A 21-year-old man has been extradited to Connecticut after a warrant was issued for his arrest, more than two years after fleeing the state, according to a release from state police.

Carlos Davila, of Montville, was charged with two counts of attempted second-degree assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was unable to post $150,000 bail.

In 2021, a then-14-year-old girl told police she was with a friend when she met Davila at a school, where he then pushed her and exposed himself, according to an arrest warrant. The girl told state police that she met Davila on Instagram, that he knew how old she was and that he asked her for explicit images.

According to police, both the girl and her friend were able to identify him from a photo. However, he fled the state and was returned to Connecticut on Wednesday after being convicted in Massachusetts on unrelated charges.
