Violent weekend: A man and a woman died in two incidents in Montgomery

Montgomery police are conducting a homicide investigation into the death of a Montgomery woman Sunday evening.

This evening at approximately 7:02 p.m., MPD and firefighters responded to the 4200 block of Cobbington Road where they found 63-year-old Gloria Cruze.

Cruze suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the second fatal shooting in the capital this weekend.

An early morning shooting left one man dead Saturday morning. Officers and firefighters were called to the 3900 block of Eastern Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Tracy Cloud Jr. suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Cloud Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances in both cases are still under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time and no further information is available.
