According to SAPD, a man was arrested after he threatened to slit a roommate’s neck with a box cutter

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say a 37-year-old man is behind bars after he threatened to slit his roommate’s neck with a box cutter.

The incident occurred in the early hours of March 14, 2024.

The victim was preparing breakfast when Joshua Caldwell began randomly throwing objects around, the affidavit states.

According to SAPD, Caldwell then took a wooden stick and hit the victim in the head with it.

The affidavit states that Caldwell also produced a box cutter and threatened to slit the victim’s neck.

The victim then ran to a neighbor’s house and told him to contact authorities, SAPD said.

According to his affidavit, Caldwell is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to court records, Caldwell remains in the Bexar County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
