WPD arrests man in connection with fatal shooting at E. Douglas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting in the early morning hours of Monday, May 6.

WPD said the man was arrested on charges of first-degree murder, criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle and criminal possession of a firearm. The arrest is in connection with the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Isaiah Gails.

Gails was shot in a Kwik Shop parking lot in the 2800 block of E. Douglas. His vehicle rolled across the street and then crashed into a building. Police found Gails with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.
