Howling Harlem mob surrounds suspect in attack on 11-year-old girl – while NYPD cops protect him

Police officers prevented an angry mob of Harlem residents from attacking a maniac accused of slashing the head of an 11-year-old girl on a Manhattan subway platform Friday afternoon, shortly after beating a woman nearby, police and law enforcement authorities said.

According to sources, the fiend allegedly struck the unsuspecting 43-year-old woman on East 115 Street and Park Avenue in East Harlem around 2:15 p.m.

He then fled to the 6 116th Street subway station, where he attacked the girl by stabbing her in the back of the head and cutting her ear as she stood with her mother on a downtown platform, sources said.

A UPS worker said the young victim was “scared and crying” while she was treated by doctors near a juice bar.

“Her head was actually cut open,” he added.

Photos obtained by The Post show one of the blood-soaked victims sobbing as he is placed in the back of an ambulance.

Wild video posted on social media shows the moment the accused attacker is surrounded by police officers as the outraged mob tries to bring justice to the streets.

In the clip, a man appears to be poking him with a stick as the alleged attacker cowers behind police officers.

“Back up!” Police officers shout at the crowd.

“You damn piece of shit!” shouts a man.

“Don’t let him go!” says another man as the police hold back the bloodthirsty mob.

Police eventually took the 30-year-old suspect into custody, who sources say has been arrested more than 20 times.

Charges were filed against him on Friday evening.
