Alec Anderson taken by ambulance from Buffalo Bills camp

A disturbing scene unfolded just after the Buffalo Bills wrapped up practice on a sweltering Tuesday morning at St. John Fisher University.

Offensive lineman Alec Anderson suffered heat trauma and after being helped off the field and into the medical tent, an ambulance transported him to a local hospital – the location was not specified.

The temperature was in the mid-80s and it was perhaps the most humid day in camp since the Bills arrived last Wednesday, so the heat index was brutal. And while it was slightly overcast early on, the sun was out in full force for the final five periods of practice.
