Two men arrested for allegedly selling tobacco products to minors in W. Hempstead, Franklin Square | Herald Community Newspapers

On July 25 at 6 p.m., two men were arrested as part of the Nassau County Police Department’s Community Oriented Police Enforcement Project 21 initiative for allegedly selling tobacco products to minors.

Nebil Asmed, 25, of Biltmore Avenue in Elmont, allegedly sold tobacco products to a minor at Twelve Twelve Smoke Shop on Woodfield Road in West Hempstead. He is charged with unauthorized contact with a child, prohibited sale of flavored products and sale of tobacco products.

Mohanad Alteshee, 21, of Macaky Place, Brooklyn, allegedly sold tobacco products to minors at the LI Smokers Depot on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square. He is charged with unauthorized contact with a child, illegal possession of a controlled substance, prohibited sale of flavored products and sale of tobacco products.

Asned is due back in Hempstead District Court on August 8. Alteshee was arraigned in Hempstead District Court on July 26.
