The Texans have coached former Eagles WR, UH QB Greg Ward Jr.

HOUSTON – The Texans recently worked out former University of Houston star quarterback and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Greg Ward, Jr., according to a league source.

Ward, 29, caught 88 passes for 768 yards and 10 touchdowns in his career. He won a Super Bowl ring with the Eagles.

Ward (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) was moved to receiver after going undrafted. For the Coogs, Ward passed for 9,704 yards, 52 touchdowns and 26 interceptions and ran for 2,381 yards and 39 touchdowns.

Ward played for the San Antonio Commanders in the Alliance of American Football before joining the Eagles. He spent last season on the Eagles’ practice squad.

He caught a career-high 53 passes for 419 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games with 10 starts for the Eagles in 2020.
