Rapist extradited to UK to face justice after two women attacked at house party in Leeds

Two sick men were jailed after luring two women to a “house party” and sexually assaulting them.

Ibrahim Kone, 24, of Moor Crescent Chase in Leeds, met the two women – who were out in Leeds on July 3, 2021 – outside a fast food restaurant and spoke to them before inviting them to a house party.

West Yorkshire Police said the women later went to a house in the Harehills area where they were met and severely sexually assaulted by Kone and another man – now known as his co-defendant Ibrahima Krubally, 21, of Gledhow Road, Leeds.

The men were identified and charged. After failing to appear for a court hearing, Krubally was extradited from Germany following an arrest warrant issued for him under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TaCA). He was sentenced to 12 years in prison at Leeds Crown Court after being found guilty of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.

Kone was sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of rape.

Detective Constable Samantha Wilson of the Leeds District CID Team, who led the investigation, welcomed the guilty verdict. She said: “I would like to thank the victims in this case who showed such courage in coming forward and have been commended for their bravery in giving evidence in court against both defendants.”
