17-year-old boy arrested in connection with Lynchburg shooting at Langview Apartments

LYNCHBURG, Virginia. – Lynchburg police say a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a shooting Saturday night at the Langview Apartments.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m., and moments after the first report, a man who appeared to have been shot was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment.

As a result, three underage boys were brought in for questioning, while two others remained in custody on other charges.

On Monday, Lynchburg Police announced the arrest of a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of:

  • Malicious injury

  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a crime

  • Mayhem

  • Possession of a firearm by a juvenile

The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
