Several injured after ramming attack at Nir Zvi intersection in central Israel – Israel News

A ramming attack took place at the Nir Zvi junction in the Ramle area, police said on Sunday.

Police determined that the terrorist had been stopped by reserve border police officers.

Four injured

Four people were injured in the attack, police said. One person is in critical condition, two others are in serious condition and another person suffered minor injuries.

Magen David Adom (MDA) had previously stated that its paramedics had provided medical care and taken three injured people to the Shamir Medical Center.

According to MDA, two people in their twenties were in serious condition, while another was slightly injured.

MDA paramedics Michelle Rashkovski and Shneor Tsik reported what they saw when they arrived at the scene. “We saw a vehicle that had hit pedestrians and stopped at a bus stop. We immediately called additional forces to the scene. Two men, around 20 years old, were lying near the bus stop, one conscious, the other unconscious, both suffering from multiple life-threatening injuries. We immediately provided them with life-saving medical assistance.”

Aryeh Mendelson, a paramedic with United Hatzalah, said: “According to passersby, the vehicle hit two pedestrians and collided with a bus stop.”

“With the help of other paramedics, we provided first aid on site,” he added.

The commander of the border police, Major General Itzhak Brik, arrived at the scene of the attack, where he received an overview of the reserve soldiers and praised their work, the police spokesman said on Sunday.

“Professional work, really commendable. This neutralization was very important. We are in a very challenging time with quite a lot of alarms.”

“You have done professional and serious work, you have full support for this activity. Congratulations. You have repeatedly proven that the reserve system of the police and border guard is serious and of high quality, which strengthens the police,” said Brik.
