Suspect shoots police in domestic violence incident in West Jordan, chase ensues

WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — West Jordan police say a suspect is in the hospital after officers responded to a domestic violence incident that escalated into a police-involved shooting Friday night.

When police arrived at a residence in West Jordan, a suspect in a domestic violence incident began firing at officers. The suspect then reportedly got into a vehicle and fled the scene while officers pursued him.

The suspect continued to fire at officers during the chase, which ended at 9600 South, police said.

The suspect was taken to hospital following the incident. His injuries are currently unclear.

1300 West between 9800 South and 9000 South is currently closed.

No officers were injured in the shooting.
