According to Danville police, a 28-year-old man was arrested after a vehicle was allegedly shot at in what was classified as road rage incident on Tuesday, July 2.

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – According to Danville Police, a 28-year-old man was arrested after a vehicle was allegedly shot at in what was classified as road rage incident on Tuesday, July 2.

According to police, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of ​​the 700 block of Halifax Road around 4 p.m. A short time later, a victim reported allegedly being shot at his vehicle, which police are considering an incident of DUI.


Through information found at the scene, the suspect vehicle and driver, identified as 28-year-old Marlowe Malik Cobbs of Milton, NC, was located by the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina. He was extradited to Virginia and charged with:

  • Shooting from a vehicle
  • Attempted grievous bodily harm
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a crime
  • Child endangerment
  • Shooting at an occupied vehicle

Cobbs is currently being held without bail at the Danville Jail.
