1 dead and 1 injured after shooting in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Fayetteville early Sunday morning.

Police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of South Eastern Blvd at 1:09 a.m.

When officers arrived, they discovered two men with gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims, 28-year-old Joseph Bell, succumbed to his injuries.
