One person arrested after stabbing in downtown Clayton –

CLAYTON, CA (June 25, 2024) – On 6/25/2024, at approximately 1:01 p.m., Clayton Police Officers were called to a dispute at 6026 Main St.

One person was stabbed. Both parties were still on scene when officers arrived. The victim, who was conscious and responsive, was treated for multiple stab wounds and transported to John Muir Medical Center. His condition is currently unknown and his name is not being released.

The suspect, Peter Kerns, 45, of Concord, was arrested and charged with 245 (a)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon. There were no other victims or suspects in this case.
