Man arrested after leading Nelson County officers on high-speed chase

A man was arrested after leading detectives on a chase on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County. According to Nelson County Sheriff’s Deputies, they stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 159 just after midnight. Inca Calcine, 42, of Liberty, Kentucky, was arrested and faces several charges including eluding police, reckless driving and reckless endangerment. Calcine is being held at Nelson County Corrections.

NELSON COUNTY, Kentucky —

A man was arrested after leading investigators on a chase on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County.

According to Nelson County Sheriff’s deputies, a vehicle was stopped for speeding on Highway 159 shortly after midnight.

The car was traveling at nearly 90 miles per hour on a road where the speed limit was 55 miles per hour.

Officials said Kentucky State Police assisted officers by setting up spike barriers to stop the vehicle.

Inca Calcine, 42, of Liberty, Kentucky was arrested and faces several charges, including fleeing police, reckless driving and reckless endangerment.

Calcine is being held at Nelson County Corrections.
