Burlingame man arrested after traffic stop in Osage County Saturday afternoon

A Burlingame man is in custody after his arrest Saturday in Osage County on suspicion of drug offenses and traffic violations.

According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, an Osage County Sheriff’s Dog Unit initiated a traffic stop at the corner of Park Avenue and South Topeka in Burlingame shortly before 3:50 p.m. for a suspected traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were allegedly found in a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Brandon T. Sage of Burlingame.

Sage was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine trafficking and driving without a license. Sage was taken to the Osage County Jail, where he remains pending the suspect’s final word.

Formal charges are still pending.
