Washington Twp. Man charged with sexual contact with 15-year-old girl

Scholp met the girl near the Washington Trace Clubhouse in the early morning hours of Dec. 27 or 28, 2023, and allegedly engaged in sexual acts in the back seat of his Ford F-150, according to an affidavit filed in Kettering Municipal Court.

While the two were sitting in the bed of the pickup truck, the girl told police that two of Scholp’s close family members had spotted her. The family members later confirmed this information to police, the affidavit states.

Court documents show that Scholp allegedly admitted to police that he had engaged in certain sexual acts with the 15-year-old.

An investigation was launched after the girl’s parents reported to police in June that they had discovered inappropriate text messages allegedly between Scholp and their daughter, according to the affidavit.

According to court records, Scholp is free on $125,000 bail and is ordered not to have any further contact with the girl or her family.
