Mourners gathered in Khan Younis to bid farewell to their loved ones and lay them to rest.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said at least 25 Palestinians were killed and 50 wounded in Mawasi, west of Rafah. Palestinians said a tank shell hit a tent housing displaced families.

The Israeli military said it was investigating the reported attacks on Mawasi and a separate incident in Gaza City.

She said her forces were conducting “precise, intelligence-based” operations in the Rafah area, where troops were engaged in close combat and discovered tunnels used by insurgents.
