Due to problems with the overhead line, there are service interruptions in and out of New York Penn Station, NJ Transit and Amtrak

NEW YORK (WABC) — NJ Transit reports that rail service to and from Penn Station in New York has been suspended due to a problem with Amtrak’s overhead wires.

Midtown Direct trains are being rerouted to Hoboken.

NJT rail tickets/passes are mutually accepted by NJ Transit and the private bus company PATH in Newark Penn and Hoboken. & 33rd Street, NY.

Amtrak said a stalled commuter train blocked the tracks, causing a delay of about 90 minutes for trains traveling through New York’s Penn Station.
