ABC11 reporter and photographer receives certificate from Fayetteville National Association of Buffalo Soldiers, Troopers Motorcycle Club

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — The Fayetteville chapter of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club recognized an ABC11 reporter and photographer during an event Saturday.

ABC11’s Monique John and Chris Hemric received certificates of appreciation for their coverage of Buffalo Soldiers during Black History Month.

The Buffalo Soldiers were African American soldiers who served primarily on the Western frontier after the American Civil War.

John previously produced a story highlighting a group of Fayetteville veterans who keep their memories alive.
