The Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management (YCOEM) is working closely with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) and other fire agencies involved in the Ironwood Fire near Cordes Lakes, Arizona.

Currently, zones YCU-2306, YCU-2327, YCU-2315 and YCU-2309 are under pre-evacuation. SENTENCE Status. SET means there is significant danger in your area. You should be prepared to leave the area if requested to do so by evacuation authorities by gathering essential supplies for yourself and those in your care, including pets and family members: medicines, important papers, valuable items, and personal belongings. Special needs you and your family may have, or special equipment your pets or livestock may require, should be considered. Stay up to date with the latest news and information from authorities and reputable sources.

Police have set up traffic checkpoints in the area. The northbound lanes of Interstate 17 are closed at Bloody Basin and Sunset Point. There is currently no estimated time for the northbound lanes to reopen. The southbound lanes are currently unaffected. Keep an eye on AZ511.com for traffic updates.

Please note that fire and emergency vehicles are actively operating in the area. We ask all residents and travelers to ensure that the roads are kept clear for these vehicles.
