BELLS, Texas — A tragic accident in Bells claimed the life of Angela Woodson and left her young grandson hospitalized Wednesday night.

According to Bells Police, the crash occurred around 10 p.m. on US-69 and Denison Street. Woodson’s vehicle was struck from behind by a pickup truck as she waited to make a left turn. Her car crossed into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a semi-truck. Woodson was pronounced dead at the scene, while her grandson was taken to a Dallas hospital. His condition remains unknown.

Woodson and her husband Ashley co-owned Finish Line Pizza in Bells and were well known in the community. “Please pray for this family! They have done a lot for the community,” urged a family friend.

The drivers of the semi-trailer and pickup truck were uninjured, police said. Woodson leaves behind her husband, two children, two grandchildren and her best friend Lorry Burris. Funeral arrangements have not yet been set.
