Coroner identifies man killed in Miami County motorcycle crash

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — The motorcyclist who died in a crash Wednesday has been identified.

The Miami County Coroner’s Office has identified Gary R. Davis, 85, of Brookville as the motorcyclist killed in a crash at the intersection of S. Shiloh Road and Frederick-Garland Road on June 12.

Officers and paramedics rushed to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Officials said Davis was traveling south on South Shiloh Road when he allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with a vehicle traveling east on Frederick-Garland Road.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to have been involved. The accident remains under investigation by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
