Nebraska child killed in accident in western Iowa identified

(Council Bluffs, IA) – The Iowa State Patrol is releasing the name of a young Omaha child who died last week when he was struck by a car in the parking lot of a gas station in western Iowa.

Police report that 2-year-old Keondre James Johnson died at an Omaha hospital after being hit by a car in the parking lot of a Neola supermarket.

State Patrol investigators said 67-year-old Rececca Wood of Walnut, Iowa, was slowly driving a Chevy Equinox into the parking lot when the toddler ran in front of the car and was struck.
