NFL RedZone’s Scott Hanson scolds TikTokker at accident scene

NFL

Scott Hanson lashed out at a TikTok streamer who was investigating a car crash in which the NFL RedZone host was tending to witnesses.

Earlier this week, a video circulated online showing a person searching through what appeared to be an overturned truck, discovering a watermelon inside and encountering a man who approaches them, confronts them and asks, “Dude, what are you doing?”

X-account IcyVert saw the video on TikTok, brought it to X and asked: “BRO, IS THAT SCOTT HANSON?!”

Finally, Hanson intervened.

“Yes, I’m fine. I was a witness – I wasn’t in any of the cars,” he wrote.

“Horrible accident. I checked on the survivors and then saw this idiot trying to exploit the situation for his social media. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I was/am. Disheartening.”

In a separate post on X, Hanson again clarified that both drivers were fine, “apart from maybe the shock.”

While Hanson dutifully counts down the weekends until RedZone returns to our televisions—13 since last Sunday—sports fans can enjoy him to the fullest, as he is one of the hosts of “Gold Zone” on NBC’s coverage of the Paris Olympics this summer.

“The Olympic Games are like no other sporting event, with up to 40 competitions taking place simultaneously. Given this scale, Gold Zone is designed to be a viewer’s best friend, broadcasting the most important moments in real time,” said Molly Solomon, CEO of NBC Sports, in a statement announcing the package.

She named several other hosts in the announcement.

“With ‘Gold Zone,’ you won’t miss a moment or a medal. And who better to guide viewers through this entertaining presentation than Scott Hanson, who does this every NFL weekend, and Olympic veterans Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila,” Solomon said.
