Late thunderstorms in Georgia, more rain in the forecast

Meteorologist Trevor Gibbs of First Alert Weather predicts temperatures will be hot on Monday afternoon – between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.

The storms currently north of our area will slowly move into parts of southeast Georgia by sunset and beyond. Some could be strong/severe.

Northeast Florida will see little to no rain tonight.

Tuesday will be another hot day with some afternoon showers and thunderstorms across Northeast Florida. However, rain will not be everywhere.

Wednesday through Friday will see more areas getting some beneficial rain, but not much. The best rain and thunderstorm coverage looks to be on Thursday.

Significant amounts of rain are expected for South Florida, with over 10 inches expected in many places this week.

Tropics: No active storms, no problem areas.
