Fatal accident in Benton County | News

BENTON COUNTY, Missouri – One death was reported in a crash in Benton County Monday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 49-year-old Cesar Espinoza of El Paso, Texas, was stopped in his 2023 Freightliner on Route CC and Highway 65. Espinoza failed to yield the right of way and was about to turn left when 84-year-old William A. Bishop of Tunas struck Espinoza. Bishop was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the 29th fatality and 28th fatal accident for Troop A in 2024.
