TS student dies in traffic accident in the USA

Hyderabad: G Sowmya, a 25-year-old Indian student from Telangana, died in a tragic road accident in the United States on Sunday morning.

She was from Yadagiripalle village near Yadagirigutta. Sowmya was doing her Masters at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, USA, while working part-time.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday when Sowmya was hit from behind by a speeding car while she was walking on the road. She died on the spot.

The news of Sowmya’s sudden death has plunged her village into mourning. Her parents, Koteshwara Rao and Balamani, and relatives are struggling to cope with the devastating loss. They have requested the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in New York to assist in bringing her body back to India.
